Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible is inspired and empowered by God, infallible and authoritative. (II Tim. 3:16; I Thess. 2: 13; II Pet. 1: 21)

2. We believe in one eternal God who exists as three separate persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Phil 2:6)

3. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man’s salvation. (Matt. 3: 17; 17: 5; Luke 3: 22; Isaiah 9: 6; Jn 1: 33, 34; Is. 7: 14; Heb. 2: 17, 18; John 11: 47; 12: 37; I Cor. 15: 14; Eph. 2: 19-23)

4. We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 2:4;10:9-10, 2 Peter 3:9)

5. We believe the free gift of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues is a separate experience from salvation. That Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost by empowering believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus by the supernatural. (Acts 1:7-8; Joel 2:28, 29; Matt. 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4, 17, 38, 39; 8:14-17; 10:38, 44-47; 11:15-17; 19:1-6).

6. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

7. We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. (1 Cor 1:12-14)

8. We believe all born-again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world. (Matt 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 14:23, Titus 2:11-14)

9. We believe healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus and included in the commission of Jesus to his disciples. It is given as a sign which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit (see Ps. 103:2, 3; Isa. 53:5; Matt. 8:16, 17; Mark 16:17, 18; Acts 8:6, 7; James 5:14-16; 1 Cor. 12:9, 28; Rom. 11:29).

10. Marriage, Gender Identity and Sexual Relations. We shall only sanction or conduct marriages between one man and one woman as biologically designated at birth. God instituted marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family, the basic structure of human society. (Genesis 2:24) God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged other than in the context of marriage between a man and a woman. (Genesis 19:5, 26:8-11; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29: 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4) God has wonderfully and immutably created each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27)

 11. Sanctity of Life. At the moment of conception, a human being, bearing the image of God, begins life. God alone is the Author of life and He alone numbers our days, from the moment of conception until natural death. Accordingly, all human life is sacred from conception until natural death and possesses a God-given right to life. Each human life begins with inherent value, worth and dignity because they are made in His image. The church must defend, protect and value the weak, vulnerable, infirm, handicapped and unborn. (Psalm 39:4; 127:3; 71:6; 139:14-16; Jer. 1:5; Luke 1:44; 1 Cor. 11:12; Job 14:5-7, Galatians 1:5)
